
Bernd Grawert
Bernd Grawert, born in Remscheid in 1962, studied drama at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. He is an actor and musician, playing the piano, saxophone and guitar. Bernd Grawert has worked at theatres such as Schauspiel Köln, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. For his role as Jean in Dimiter Gotscheff's Fräulein Julie at Schauspiel Köln, he was awarded the North Rhine-Westphalia Acting Prize in 1992. As a guest at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin and at the Münchner Kammerspiele, he has worked with Frank Castorf, Karin Beier and Andreas Kriegenburg, among others. Since 09/10 Bernd Grawert has been working regularly at Thalia Theater, where he also continued his ongoing collaboration with Luk Perceval, which began with the Shakespeare marathon Schlachten! at Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg in 1999. He has been a member of the Thalia Theater ensemble since 2020.
