
Julian Greis
Julian Greis, born in Hattingen in 1983, studied drama at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. While still a student, he made guest appearances at Landestheater Esslingen and Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. His first permanent engagement was at Schauspielhaus Graz. When Joachim Lux took over as artistic director, Julian Greis joined Thalia Theater, where he has worked with directors such as Antú Romero Nunes, Kornél Mundruczó, Christopher Rüping and Jette Steckel, among others. In 2012, he was awarded the Boy Gobert Prize by the Körber Foundation, and in 2014, as part of the Moby Dick ensemble (directed by Antú Romero Nunes), he received the Hamburg Theatre Prize – Rolf Mares. In addition to his theatre work, Julian Greis is an award-winning voice artist for audio books and radio dramas. He has been a member of the Thalia Theater ensemble since the 09/10 season.
