Three women struggle with the challenges of family, friendship and the promise of happiness. Mareike Fallwickl's best-selling novel asks how a life can be successful in the midst of the most diverse demands. The production, co-produced with Salzburger Festspiele, brings a long-suppressed feeling of many women to the stage: anger. Anger at the matter-of-fact way in which care work is imposed on them, at the lack of recognition, and at patriarchal violence. Now the celebrated production is coming to Thalia Theater.
